Jewelry Making Techniques

Learn how to use and crimp jewelry wire while making a bracelet. Turn simple loops to create dangle earrings. Then, use wrapped loops to complete a two part pair of earrings with flash and movement and wrap a briolette with a loop to make a coordinating pendant.

Wire Wrap Rings

Learn to create quick, beautiful, and imaginative rings in several different styles.  Ring sizing, hardening, and securing your wire will be important techniques discussed. We will also go over different types of wire and their best uses.

Materials to be purchased: 20g wire, 24g wire, 18g wire, 3mm Czech Firepolish beads, and a 6-10mm bead.  Use of tools provided by instructor.

Forged Wire Bangles

Learn to create fast and fun bangles with a hammer, bracelet mandrel and a few feet of wire.   Various designs will be explored and you’ll have time to play and try out different types of hammers.

Herringbone Wirewrap Necklace

You’ll love creating new designs in your jewelry using this distinctive wire wrapping technique that offers so many variations.  Learn how to deftly work with wire and expand your design concepts.  Use of a hammer and anvil to create a handmade clasp will also be covered.
